In 1990, some astronomers believed that a space based telescope would not make any new galaxies visible. In 1995, NASA released the space based Hubble telescope deep field photo of what appeared to be an empty section of the night sky. The photo revealed hundreds of galaxies and stars, made visible from a change of perspective. This is what Simone hopes to bring to the game developer world. Simone wants to share her own experiences and draw upon the experiences of those different from herself to create compelling games.
Games are a wonderful medium because of the agency it awards its players within the story- making it the ideal method for portraying groups that have historically lacked agency.
